Surfing at Tobago Surfcamp
Mount Irvine Beach is perfect for any level of surfing, advanced surfers and those who are not quite there yet. The waves will come in regularly, but of different intensity. Depending on weather and waves, everybody will find their best conditions to meet their ability. Mount Irvine Beach is only a 2 minutes drive away from the Surf Camp. The guest can rent a car or use the Surf Camp Shuttle Service.Our Surf School offers epoxy and fiber glass boards in good condition. Check out our Gallery to see some photos of our equipment. Mount Irvine Beach also offers a beach restaurant and bar, showers, toilets and changing rooms.
Tobago Surf School Training Plans
Beginners
1.Day
- Land and ocean literacy
- Practice and simulation: positioning, paddling, and Take-Off
- Teaching white water surfing with a beginer board, with the surf teacher together position training, paddle and Take-Off.
2. Day
- Understanding of wave size (direction) and second period
- We go into the water with a 7:10 board
- Surfing, surfing, surfing
3. Day
- Ocean Skills
- We go into the water with a 7.2 board
- Learning to sit on the line-up and selection of waves
- Take-Off in blue water
- Frondsidesurf
- Declaration of the rules of riding
Advanced Surfers
We offer one-on-one lessons for advanced surfers. First, we will determine your skills and then we will work together to get you to the next level.
Caution: If you are looking for waves for pros, you have to consider the seasons. Starting from September to the end of May the waves are bigger and more intense. You will find the up to date swell here.

Fortgeschrittene
Für die Fortgeschrittenen bieten wir Einzelunterricht. Wir checken euer Level und arbeiten uns aufwärts.
Aber Achtung: Wer sich als Profi an den Wellen zu schaffen machen möchte, muss die Saison der hohen Wellen berücksichtigen. Diese beginnt erst etwa ab September und dauert etwa bis Ende Mai. Den aktuellen Swell erfährst du hier.
